This project reimagines the Olympics in Kyoto through a complete visual identity system, including the logo, typography, pictograms, posters, tickets, and wayfinding signage. The design is rooted in a zen-inspired aesthetic, featuring an enso circle with ink-like brushstrokes and a lotus symbol to evoke balance, purity, and harmony. This fluid, organic style extends into the pictograms and overall system. A textured rice paper background is used across printed materials, reinforcing a tactile, traditional feel. The result is a cohesive identity that blends cultural influence with a calm, intentional design approach.
